Perth Home Grown Market

This year as part of Eat Drink Perth, a market was set up in Forrest Place. The market offers the best local products and ingredients such as fresh fruit, vegetables, spreads, chutneys, baked cakes and pastries, organic teas and oils.
There’s also a selection of hot brunch options such as bacon and egg burgers, crepes and smoothies!! The carnivore in me eyed off the scrumptious looking chicken pies on offer, but the vegetarian side won out and I had a delicious breakfast of poached eggs in a tomato sauce from the Moroccan stall. I didn’t get to see many other stalls as I was there by myself and had to man my stand. Next time I’ll convince a friend to come along and help me out and I’ll be able to try something from each stall.

As part of our weekend stall, we had a “guess how many cookies in the jar game.” Whoever guessed the correct number of cookies, or the closest number won the entire jar!! The winner was Adam from Bedford with a cookie guess of 97 cookies!! Congratulations!

There’s only 1 more weekend left of the Perth Home Grown Market, so come and visit us! Buy some cupcakes, and then check out the talented stallholders that are offering some tasty food products and specialised homewares and crafts!
